Contract Duration: 1 Year

 

Salary: €35-36K + laptop + phone + reimbursed travel expenses

Our client, a membership body representing construction and property professionals and is and wants to hire a Development Manager for Ireland.  This is a maternity cover post and will involve working from home and reporting into HQ.   You will be responsible for the promotion of products and services across the local territory (Ireland & Northern Ireland), focusing on Employer Engagement to generate membership growth and growth of other revenue generating streams. To act as the main point of contact for members providing an excellent service, support and membership advice at a local level. To be a conduit for corporate information to the Local Hub committee(s) ensuring the goals and objectives of the Institute are delivered.

 

Role

  • 50% Business Development: Focus on Employer Engagement to meet new and upgrade member targets
  • 20% Member Services: advising members and potential members on routes to membership and contribute to the annual renewals campaign
  • 10% Communication: deliver a newsletter monthly; use all channels available e.g. social media, web
  • 10% Event Management: Deliver an annual dinner (if applicable), oversee all Local Hub(s) events and monitor effectiveness
  • 5% Financial Management: business plan/budget preparation for Local Hub(s), monitoring, reforecasting, reporting variances
  • 5% Support: oversee the support of the Local Hub committee(s) ensuring corporate goals are met; visit regularly

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience desirable.  Qualifications should demonstrate good standards of the English language and numerical skills.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable senior administrative and business development experience
  • Proven track record and driven by meeting targets and business development
  • Excellent customer service, organisational, multitasking and administrative skills
  • Experience of line management, with the ability to coach/train others essential
  • Effective decision making skills
  • Excellent copy writing skills
  • Strong IT skills: proficient user of Microsoft Office software, internal systems and social media
  • Ability to communicate/influence effectively and confidently at different levels with a passion for networking, and building and maintaining relationships
  • Excellent financial management skills: business planning, budgets, reforecasting
  • Experience of overseeing, organising and reviewing successful events within budget
  • Ability to work from home with minimal supervision
  • Team player
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to meet the organisation’s needs – driving licence is highly desirable
  • Experience of the construction sector would appeal, but not essential
