Tax Free Senior Consultant Performance & Strategy Management

Location: Saudi Arabia

Salary: €200k DOE


Job Overview:

  • Acts as the "Corporate Advisor" for strategic performance management related issues, providing relevant insight and advice to top management, other members of Corporate Management, and the corporate planning organization.
  • Provides advice and guidance on the development of the company's strategic performance management framework and measurement system; leading the development, deployment and management of an integrated system.
  • Develops and cultivates key matrix relationships to advance strategic performance initiatives in order to ensure the company is actively, effectively and dynamically managing to achieve our strategies.
  • Prepares for, facilitates, and follows strategy and initiative portfolio review meetings, including the Annual Strategy Refresh.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategy update and refresh activities: Review and update of our client's corporate Balanced Scorecards (Goals/KPIs/Targets) in workshops with their steering committee using strategy definition instruments (e.g. SWOT)
  • Balanced scorecard management activities (as process owner): Review and update of all organizational Balanced Scorecards (Goals/KPIs/Targets/Initiatives) in workshops with entity representatives
  • Strategic initiatives management activities (as process owner): Collection and evaluation of strategic initiatives based on defined evaluation criteria. Establishment of next year’s business plan. 
  • Strategic planning activities (as process coordinator): Collection of strategic planning assumptions and population of strategic planning results as basis for strategic financial planning.
  • Performance reporting and review (as process coordinator): Coordination of quarterly performance review process. Safeguarding that required information is available for performance reviews. Coordination of review process and ad-hoc support in review meetings as required.
  • Strategic resource management (as process coordinator): Alignment of business plan content with HR (FTE requirements) and financial department (business plan budgets) regarding business plan contents.
  • Budgeting (channel relevant data from core and derived processes): Making any financial information from strategic activities available to financial department to include in the budgeting process.
  • Strategy communication (channel relevant data from core and derived processes): Definition of content of strategy communication as well as target groups. Alignment with corporate communication department to include strategy communication into communication plan.
  • Project management (channel relevant data from core and derived processes): Alignment of content from business plan with TMO in form of hand-over of collected project/initiatives information.
  • Take responsibility for Q&A in all Strategy and Performance Management operations.


Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • 6-8 years' experience within strategy department or closely related organizational unit, with a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory position

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or business administration. Financial Management or closely related discipline. An advanced degree is highly desirable. Six Sigma is highly desirable

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have strong project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
  • Have a fair understanding of the financial services sector (preferable).
  • Proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive, effective networks with internal and external stakeholders of all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to develop a positive, effective and collaborative rapport with corporate management, co-workers, and stakeholders using tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent spoken/written English language skills: Speaks effectively in large groups and able to make clear presentations and arguments, writes high quality reports and briefs.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and strong inter-personal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
