Conference, Meeting, Events Business Development Executive

Location: D15

Salary: €35-40K + Benefits

Full licence and car owner required as the role will involve some client visits  

Our client, a 4* Hotel with Conference, Meetings and Events facilities is seeking to hire a BD Executive with a specific emphasis on developing conference, meeting and event sales for this busy, vibrant hotel.

The Role:

Working in conjuction with the existing sales development team, your main responsibilities will be to research, identify, convert and fully develop new business (global and local) for all segments of the business, with a particular focus on conference and event sales ensuring budgeted sales are met and exceeded.

Duties:

  • Meeting potential and existing clients and complete show arounds of the hotel facilities
  • Agreed number of sales calls, meetings both onsite and offsite visits
  • Relationship building with exiwsting and new cusotmers
  • Practice excellent electronic communication and telephone etiquette in all communications
  • Initiate and drive sales, promotions and organise and complete mailshots etc., in conjuctions with the BD team
  • Masimise all sales opportunities and ensure sales lead generated are actioned or refered according to department standards
  • Assisting in compilation and implemention of annual sales & marketing plans
  • Use Salesforce to manage andupdate account information

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about direct selling working with a professional high end environment, have strong price negotiation and communication skills.  You should be comfortable in developing long term business relationships with both customers and colleagues.  Have a creative innovative approach to genreating business, with a friendly "can do"  attitude to drive results.

  • Min 2-5 years experience working in a sales and business development role
  • Hotel/Service Industry experience/knowledge an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent presentation 
  • Proactive and innovative 
  • Drive and self-motivated to achieve targets
  • Strong relationship building skills
